Challenge:
Communicate Nutella’s value as being part of a well-rounded breakfast with the “Build a Better Breakfast with Nutella” promotion, while inviting consumers to take advantage of partner brand discounts found under the lid for bread, milk, orange juice and eggs.
Solution:
To position Nutella as part of a well-rounded breakfast, the product’s quality and nutritious ingredients were featured on the package to show that Nutella can be part of a wholesome breakfast when paired with other healthy foods. To promote the “Build a Better Breakfast with Nutella” promotion, a flash was featured on the shrink-wrapped package, encouraging consumers to look under the lid for partner brand discounts. The overall look of the packaging had a youthful quality to appeal to children and a sophisticated look to satisfy parents.
